The brief.
A congress on maternal and newborn health generates days of sessions, dozens of speakers and thousands of clips — and most of it will never be watched again. The organisers needed the opposite of an archive: one film, three to five minutes, that carries the congress to the audience that wasn't in the room. The failure mode of aftermovies is the montage — music, drone shots, applause, and nothing anyone remembers. The film had to argue something, not just look like an event happened.

The approach.
We started with the transcripts, not the footage. Reading across the sessions, we mapped the congress's actual through-line, then built the edit around it — selecting the moments where government voices and delegates said the thing the film needed said. The result is structured as a narrative, not a highlight reel: the problem the congress convened around, the voices carrying it, and where the work goes next — with two government speakers anchoring the story's weight.

The outcome.
The congress got a film it could put in front of ministries, funders and partners — a three-to-five-minute answer to what happened there and why it matters. It works as an opener in presentations, a social centrepiece, and the permanent record of the convening.
